Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 19 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all bookings and purchases made through flashpageko for specialised courses in live production decks and control rooms. These courses cover multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. The policy governs payments, cancellations, and refunds for both in-person and online course formats delivered to customers in the United Kingdom.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Course fees include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate unless stated otherwise. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as certification materials or extended access to course resources. Any such charges are clearly shown before payment is authorised. Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings lock in the rate at the time of purchase.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation, and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved digital payment platforms. Payment is authorised immediately upon booking. All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant gateways to protect card details. flashpageko does not store full payment card information. Authorisation confirms the transaction but does not guarantee course availability until full confirmation is issued.
Order, Booking, or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
A contract is formed once you receive written confirmation via email following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the course dates, location or access details, and total amount paid. Until this email is sent, no binding agreement exists. Bookings are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under UK consumer law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking confirmation during which you may cancel without penalty, provided the course has not yet commenced. For digital or online course content accessed immediately, this right may be waived once access begins. Cancellations must be notified in writing.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available for cancellations within the cooling-off period or if flashpageko cancels the course. No refunds are issued for partial attendance, failure to meet prerequisites, or changes in personal circumstances after the cooling-off period. Promotional or discounted bookings may have stricter refund exclusions. Deposits for high-demand courses are non-refundable outside the cooling-off window.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your booking reference, full name, course title, and reason for cancellation. Include bank details if a refund to an original payment method is required. Requests must be submitted within the applicable time limits. We acknowledge receipt within five working days.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification of the Refund Decision
Each request is reviewed against policy criteria within ten working days. You will be notified by email of approval or rejection, including reasons for any refusal. Approved refunds proceed automatically; rejected cases may be appealed once with additional supporting information.
Refund Method, Processing Time, and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear within five to ten working days, while bank transfers may take up to fourteen days depending on your provider. Processing begins only after approval.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services, or Promotional Offers Where Relevant
Online course modules classified as digital content are non-refundable once streaming or download access has started. Subscription-style refresher packages follow the same cooling-off rules but exclude refunds after the first session. Promotional offers are honoured only if the original booking terms are met; early termination voids any remaining promotional value.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the booking may be cancelled. Duplicate charges are investigated and refunded automatically upon verification. Chargebacks are treated as cancellations and may result in restricted future bookings. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate suspension and reporting to relevant UK authorities under applicable fraud prevention rules.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. These rights include remedies for faulty services and protection against unfair terms. Nothing in this document excludes liability for negligence or fraud.
